New 2020 Volkswagen Passat Bows at Detroit Auto Show

The 2020 Volkswagen Passat was introduced at this year’s Detroit Auto Show and although the German mid-size sedan hasn’t been completely redesigned, it still gets quite a bit of new features and tech to go with upgraded performance.

Powering the new 2020 Passat is an improved 2.0-liter TSI four-cylinder engine with 174 horsepower. The torque is where the improvement is visible as the Passat’s engine now has 207 pound-feet of torque as opposed to 184 in the previous model.

The Passant doesn’t get the new MQB platform, but Volkswagen used the investment to improve the interior tech list. You’ll notice the changes as soon as you step inside the new Volkswagen mid-size sedan. You’ll find Apple CarPlay and Android Auto inside the redesigned Passat as well as premium materials, Nappa leather, a digital instrument cluster called Virtual Cockpit, and an overall improved level of refinement, luxury, and interior design.

All new Passat models get Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Monitoring.

The 2020 Volkswagen Passat will be available this summer at Fifth Avenue Volkswagen. Contact us today to learn more.
