2019 Volkswagen Atlas reviews are out
Introduced to the market last year, the Volkswagen Arteon was immediately noticed thanks to its remarkable design that makes the new sedan look like a true luxury sedan. With its coupe-like profile, the Arteon is unlike any other vehicle on the road. It also has the goods to back it up thanks to its incredible equipment list and features as well as its performance and all-wheel drive.
For 2020, the Arteon offers a 2.0 L four-cylinder turbo engine capable of 268 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque as well as the 8-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic. This duo has a city fuel consumption of 12.0 L/100 km and 8.6 L/100 km on the highway. It’s also plenty fast with enough power to get to 100 km/h in about 6.5 seconds.
As mentioned above, the Volkswagen Arteon comes standard with, among other things, 4MOTION all-wheel drive, forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking, VW’s digital cockpit as well as an easy-opening electric tailgate. The trunk offers 563 liters of cargo space when the seats are raised and 1,557 liters when the seats are lowered.
By offering the perfect balance of efficient yet powerful performance, the Arteon combines style and technology in ways rarely seen outside of premium luxury sedans. Like many other Volkswagen models, ranging from the Golf to the Atlas, the 2020 Arteon is built on Volkswagen’s MQB platform, allowing its distinct, dynamic proportions and spacious interior.
There are a few options that include an advanced safety group and an R-Line model. The first adds several safety features to the Arteon such as blind spot detection with rear traffic warning, parking assistance and a 360-degree camera. The R-Line package intensifies the sedan's look with a set of R-Line exterior design elements, textured silver interior trim, 20-inch Rosario alloy wheels, and leather-wrapped R-Line heated multi-function steering wheel with paddle shifters.
