Both of these sedans are designed with efficiency in mind, and, honestly, they both perform exceptionally well in that regard. Where the Jetta shines in comparison to the Civic is in highway driving. Long distance, the 2024 Volkswagen Jetta has the better overall estimated fuel economy, coming in around 5.6L/100km, compared to the Civic’s 6L/100km. Plus, it might be worth noting that road-trip in the Jetta will be quiet and comfortable when compared to the road noise you’ll be hearing in the Civic’s cabin.

Affordability

When it comes to a practical everyday vehicle, the value of the 2024 Volkswagen Jetta is hard to beat. It certainly isn’t beaten by the Honda Civic, which starts at a price point around $2,000 higher than the Jetta.
