The Volkswagen ID lineup is growing by the month, and the latest model to make its debut is the Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion, a fully-electric wagon concept that previous a versatile EV sure to come in the next few years.
As Volkswagen works to develop its EV lineup, the German automaker has been introducing a wide range of new electric concepts under the ID brand. The first production model from the ID lineup, the Volkswagen ID.3, was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show back in September.
As for the Volkswagen ID Space Vizzion, well it’s essentially an electric wagon powered by an 82-kWh battery that should provide 300 miles of range (480 kilometres). It’s longer than the VW Tiguan by about 10 inches, and just about the same length as the Volkswagen Atlas three-row SUV.
The concept sits on massive 22-inch wheels and was definitely the star of the show in Los Angeles. The powertrain is a 275-horsepower electric motor sitting on the rear axle, but Volkswagen says it could add a second electric motor on the front axle that would push power to 355 hp and provide all-wheel drive capability.
